The Pakistan cricket team continues to be the subject of endless banter, with Indian footballers joining in to mock Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. Indian goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu imitated unusual warm-up stretches to mock the Pakistani players.

Pakistan cricket has been the subject of viral trolling over the past few years, ranging from on-field rifts to ‘theatrics’ about their participation in tournaments. Cricketers from the country were intensely trolled during the 2025-26 Big Bash League season, starting with veteran batter Mohammad Rizwan being humiliatingly retired out for batting too slowly in a match for Melbourne Renegades.

Meanwhile, Babar Azam, playing for Sydney Sixers, was trolled not only by fans but also by the Australian media for showing visible ‘on-field’ tantrums to teammate Steve Smith. With Pakistan now in the middle of a major controversy over their potential exit from the upcoming 2026 T20 World Cup, it has also attracted more mockery, including from players of the Indian football club Bengaluru FC.

Legendary Indian football goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu and his Bengaluru FC teammate poked fun at the Pakistan cricket team during their own training session by mimicking a bizarre physical routine, once performed by Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.

In the 2024 clip, the two Pakistani cricketers were seen performing highly unconventional warm-up exercises, stretching their hands and feet in such a way that looked more like a dance performance than a professional drill.

Sandhu and Nikhil Poojary imitated the duo, making fun of the two Pakistani cricketers by depicting they were trying to imitate comic superheroes. The Indian goalkeeper’s post also carried a hilarious caption, which read ‘inspired by true events’. It is also not the first time that Pakistan’s training regimen has trolled, with fans joking about how the team prepared for a ‘war’ after undergoing commando drills at the Army Training Camp in Abbottabad.

Coming to Gurpreet Singh Sandhu and his Bengaluru FC teammates, they still await the beginning of the 2025-26 Indian Super League season. India’s premier football competition, ISL, has been embroiled in a crisis since September 2025, which has led to an unexpected delay in its start by five months.

India U-19 aims for revenge against Pakistan U-19 in crucial World Cup clash

All eyes will turn towards Queens Sports Club in Zimbabwe, where India are set to face off against arch-rivals Pakistan in an Under-19 World Cup ‘Super Six’ encounter. So far, the Boys in Blue have won all four of their matches at the WC, while their opponents have won three.

India U-19 and Pakistan U-19 last faced each other in the final of the 2025 ACC Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup. While it was expected that the Boys in Blue would run away with a comfortable victory, the match ended differently. Courtesy Sameer Minhas’ 113-ball 172, Pakistan put up a massive 348-run target. India U-19, in response, could only manage 156 runs, being bowled out in just 26.2 overs, losing by 191 runs.

The defeat left a sour taste for the Indian U-19 players, who will be seeking vengeance in the ongoing U-19 World Cup. India is in a strong position to qualify for the semi-finals, while Pakistan must secure a massive victory to advance. India’s performance will heavily rely on key players, including captain Ayush Mhatre, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Vihaan Malhotra, Abhigyan Kundu, and Henil Patel.

So far, India U-19 has played a total of four matches, winning against the USA, Bangladesh, New Zealand, and hosts Zimbabwe. Pakistan, on the other hand, lost the opener to England, but made a comeback with three successive wins over Scotland, Zimbabwe, and New Zealand.
