The shortened season of 2020 reaped as many benefits for Rafael Nadal as possible. He claimed his 13th Roland Garros title after he downed the World No.1, Novak Djokovic, in straight sets. Further, Rafa lifted the Mexican Open title, without having dropped a single set.
In addition, the 34-year-old recorded his one-thousandth career win in Paris. Not only this, but with his Roland Garros win, Rafa tied up with Roger Federer’s Grand Slam record of 20.
Rafa is “Back to work!“

Nadal ended this season quite masterfully. He reached the semis of the Nitto ATP Finals. While he was looking to win his maiden year-end championships title, Daniil Medvedev ousted the Spaniard which put an end to his season.
Even so, Rafa will be back in full swing at the Australian Open 2021. He will aim to assert his dominance from the get-go. Djokovic and Federer will also contend for the same. Hence, Nadal is already back on the courts brushing up his skills. In an Instagram post, Rafa declared of his return to practice after taking a short break.
“Back to work! I took a few days off after London and now back to the practice and routines,” the champ stated.
This acts as a warning to his No.1 rivals, Nole and Federer, who are hard at work themselves. The trio will produce some mouth-watering tennis in two months time.
