Backstage update on possible heat on former AEW star following his successful debut on Raw
New reports an update on former AEW champion receiving backstage heat from WWE officials and superstars following his debut.

Update on Penta receiving backstage heat following his debut on Raw (via WWE)
Shortly after Penta made his debut on the most recent episode of Raw, there were several rumors on social media which stated that he had attracted a lot of backstage heat. The 39-year-old allegedly took much more time than he was assigned during his match and promo afterward. This supposedly resulted in time being cut from other segments, which other talent and officials did not appreciate.
According to a report by WrestleVotes Radio, however, the Luchador was very well-received by WWE officials following his debut. There was absolutely no heat on him regarding the time he had taken for his match and the following promo. Two superstars even approached creative and expressed their interest in working with him.
The former TNA World Champion made his WWE debut on the second episode of Raw on Netflix after being revealed as Chad Gable‘s mystery opponent for the night. The two superstars put on a clinic, and the former AEW star came out on top after landing a Penta driver. He then cut an impassionate promo, which the fans in San Jose loved.

After all, WWE being forced to cut time from other segments did not make too much logical sense either. The show is no longer on cable television. It is now broadcast on a streaming service where they have no timing obligations. Even if they did, the show ended in about two and a half hours. The promotion could have extended the episode to three hours if they really needed to.
Former AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa comments on WWE’s Penta debut
Penta’s former AEW colleague Thunder Rosa recently commented on his debut in WWE during a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio. She noted that she has always been very close to the Dark Dragon. She had also seen his rise during his time in Lucha Underground.

Rosa said that it felt great to see his family be at ringside for his debut. Furthermore, the words that he said in Spanish during his promo were very heart-touching. She said that he had a huge influence on her personally, and he was a prime example that hard work always pays off.
I think everybody that is Hispanic-speaking or has gone through some of the similar things that he’s gone through — we felt it in our heart and it was that he’s an example of a Mexicano that has made it and worked really hard.

Not just Thunder Rosa but other AEW wrestlers like Swerve Strickland were thrilled about their former colleague and congratulated the Luchador on social media. Of course, Rey Fenix was also tremendously happy for his brother, who should be joining him in the promotion soon.
