Bad Bunny is making a last-minute change to his Super Bowl performance. The “Where She Goes” singer is set to ditch the idea of wearing a skirt dress during the halftime show.
Earlier this week, a Radar Online report sent social media buzzing. The gossip column claimed that Bad Bunny planned to wear a skirt as a tribute to the queer community, a move hinted in last year’s Apple Music teaser.
Naturally, the news got people talking. Some praised the Puerto Rican singer’s guts to try something out of the box, while others criticized the step. His polarizing persona had already riled up right-leaning groups, making them the ones most bothered by the 31-year-old’s unique wardrobe choice.
That said, TMZ reported on Saturday that Bad Bunny will no longer be wearing it, even after an insider close to the singer had claimed that the dress had already been produced.

On the same day, President Donald Trump stunned the football world with an announcement. Trump declared that he plans to skip the Super Bowl in San Francisco because it’s too far. That’s the gist of it. However, the underlying reason behind his sudden change of heart is Bad Bunny.
Trump can’t stand the “DtMF” hitmaker, as he supports the queer movement and has an innate disdain for ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). On top of that, the NFL roped in Green Day, an American rock band known for its anti-right-wing stance, to perform at the opening ceremony.
These cumulative developments appear to have influenced Trump’s decision to avoid attending this year’s Super Bowl. That being said, ICE officers will be stationed outside Levi’s Stadium, which is expected to draw a large number of Spanish-speaking attendees eager to watch Bunny perform.
NFL Commissioner defends Bad Bunny from controversy
Taylor Swift was among the front-runners to headline the 2025-26 Super Bowl halftime show, alongside Miley Cyrus, Jay-Z, and Beyonce. The NFL pulled a rabbit out of its bag when they announced “Weltita” composer.

It didn’t take long for Trump to criticize the selection.
I don’t know who[Bad Bunny] is. I don’t know why they’re doing it. It’s crazy. And then they blame it on some promoter they hired to pick up entertainment. I think it’s [choosing Bad Bunny to perform at the Super Bowl] absolutely ridiculous.
Donald Trump said
Trump urged NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to pick someone else. However, Goodell refused to adhere to it.
It’s carefully thought through. I’m not sure we’ve ever selected an artist where we didn’t have some blowback or criticism. It’s pretty hard to do when you have literally hundreds of millions of people that are watching.
Goodell said
Former NFL player and current ESPN analyst Ryan Clark offered a different perspective. Clark praised the NFL for taking a bold approach.
I think Bad Bunny as the Super Bowl halftime show is absolute genius. If you’re the NFL, you always fight this stigma of that’s America’s sport. That’s why they play in Brazil now. That’s why they play in Ireland… Mexico… London.
Ryan Clark said
Bad Bunny is a genius pick for a Super Bowl halftime perform! The viewership just keeps growing, & who cares who is mad? The NFL has its eyes on the international prize, & there’s no one bigger.
