‘Hate’ Over Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Show Leads Piers Morgan to Mock Megyn Kelly’s English-Only Demand

Roger Goodell and his NFL executives knew that Bad Bunny performing the Super Bowl LX halftime show was going to become a major left vs. right debate for quite a while.
After all, President Donald Trump set the ball in motion when he openly criticized the league’s decision to hire a musician who does not sing in English and has been critical of his administration’s decisions. Threats of ICE officers being present at Levi’s Stadium were not enough to deter the league, and the Grammy Award winner went on to produce an entertaining show.
Even though most fans did not understand a word, many agreed that the vibes were good, and no one felt as if they were missing out on what makes the Super Bowl great. However, those on the right were not of this opinion.
Former FOX News host Megyn Kelly, who now hosts a podcast, had British journalist Piers Morgan on her show. The mother of three started off by stating this about Bad Bunny‘s halftime performance:
To get up there and perform the whole show in Spanish is a middle finger to the rest of America… We have 310 million who don’t speak a lick of Spanish. This is supposed to be a unifying event for the country.
Megyn Kelly said
The Illinois native added that considering how minor the Spanish-speaking population was, it did not make sense that the performance of America’s biggest sporting event should not be in English.
Moreover, Megyn Kelly took shots at the Black National Anthem and pointed out that the biggest problem was that the NFL had an ICE hater, which makes him a hater of America.
Piers Morgan questions the need for Bad Bunny to sign in English
After Megyn Kelly went on her rant about Bad Bunny singing in Spanish, Piers Morgan asked the former FOX anchor what the official national language of America was. When Kelly replied that it was English, the Brit rebutted:

No. You don’t have one. The truth is, you don’t actually have an official language.
Piers Morgan said
As he finished saying his part, the 60-year-old let out a chuckle, seemingly mocking Kelly and all those on the right who have been making the halftime show more of an attack on American culture than what it was.

This infuriated the podcast show host, and she went on another rant, trying to undermine Piers Morgan and his country by suggesting that immigrants have destroyed British culture. Kelly also reiterated that American football is quintessentially American, which means it should be about the country’s actual culture. However, throughout this time, Morgan was smirking.
Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show may eclipse ratings record
Even though there were calls for a boycott from boxer Jake Paul and suggestions to watch Turning Point USA’s All-American halftime show, nothing was going to take away from the fact that the NFL was going to be the winner.
Turning Point USA tried to stream their show headlined by Kid Rock on social media platforms, but could not get much help from X, which, surprisingly, is run by right-leaning Elon Musk.
Eventually, their YouTube live stream garnered around 6 million viewers at its peak. That was a lot less than what they had hoped. Many right-leaning advocates had hoped to take a major chunk out of the NFL’s usual viewership numbers.
After last year’s Kendrick Lamar performance drew 133.5 million, there was apprehension that TPUSA’s show and Bad Bunny singing in Spanish might impact ratings more than what the NFL expected.
Even though official numbers have not been released, the overall reaction, even from those who have never heard one of his songs before, point to the possibility of the Super Bowl LX halftime show to eclipse the previous record. Maybe the intrigue drew a lot of new fans.
