Despite declining to perform in the US due to concerns over ICE, Bad Bunny has agreed to headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LX halftime show at Levi’s Stadium. Taylor Swift misses out once more.
Bad Bunny, aka Benito Martinez, is followed by millions of fans worldwide. He has produced catchy hits such as Monaco, and Where She Goes.
Fans can be sure of hearing some of them when he takes his crew over to Santa Clara, Calif., on Sunday, Feb 8. Bunny broke the news about headlining the Super Bowl 60 halftime show through a X video on Sunday (September 28).

This latest development comes after Bunny claimed that he was against performing in the US. Speaking with i-D magazine earlier this month, the 31-year-old “Dákiti” rapper revealed that he has no qualms about the fans in the mainland, as he has performed there on several previous occasions. However, the crisis generated by Donald Trump’s immigration laws has forced him to rethink their tour plans.
People from the U.S. could come here [in Puerto Rico] to see the show. Latinos and Puerto Ricans of the United States could also travel here, or to any part of the world. But there was the issue of — like, (expletive) ICE could be outside.

Bad Bunny follows in the footsteps of Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Rihanna, and Mary J. Blige, who have previously performed during the Super Bowl halftime break.
Did Taylor Swift decline to perform at Super Bowl LX?
Swifties must wait until 2027 to see Taylor Swift perform her top hits. According to reports, the NFL reached out to the Grammy winner to get her on board for Super Bowl 60.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, while appearing on the Today show, claimed,
We would always love to have Taylor play. She is a special, special talent. And obviously, she would be welcome at any time.
Swift had already declined the NFL’s invitation a couple of times, but the ‘You Belong with Me’ singer dropped several hints while making her New Heights podcast debut beside beau Travis Kelce.
However, she walked away from the chance, as the NFL underestimated her, as per Rob Shuter of #ShuterReport.
[Taylor Swift] wasn’t asking for favors; she was asking for respect. Taylor knows her worth. She knows the kind of ratings she brings, the global attention she commands. She wasn’t about to hand that over for free.
Super Bowl performers don’t get paid for their performances. Instead, their income is generated from a set of exposure since streams and album sales usually skyrocket. That’s great for newcomers or those who are looking to take the next step in their musical career.
Taylor Swift and the NFL reportedly abandoned negotiations for the 2026 #SuperBowl after the NFL refused to meet Swift’s demands.

Swift doesn’t require the exposure. She’s the biggest female celebrity on the planet.
Moreover, people close to Swift have said that she plans to hold off performing at a Super Bowl until Kelce retires from football. She wants her near and dear ones present during the show.
At the moment, Swift is waiting for her latest album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl‘, to go live on October 3.
