Many believed that Manchester City midfielder Rodri played his last game of the 2024/25 season when he ruptured his ACL against Arsenal in September. The Spaniard, who beat Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. to the Ballon d’Or last month, has announced that he could return to action sooner than expected.
Rodri turned up to the Ballon d’Or ceremony in crutches, where he was crowned the best player in the world. His absence has resulted in Manchester City sitting five points off Liverpool in the top spot. The club has lost its last four games in all competitions.
The 28-year-old has stated that he’s started to walk again and is already feeling better. He said that he hopes to be back in action this season.
