Premier League: Banner supporting Donald Trump flown over Goodison Park during Everton vs Manchester United match
A banner supporting stepping down US President Donald Trump was flown over the Goodison Park, where Everton had hosted Manchester United today. As the match was going on, a plane flying a banner was spotted. The banner read “World knows Donald Trump won #MAGA”. As known by now MAGA stands as the infamous calling cry of Donald Trump and his followers.
The US Elections
As the world awaits with bated breath on the state of the US Elections, it became clear the Joe Biden was inching his way to the White House. Donald Trump has lost favour with the US citizens as his poor handling of the Covid crisis and rampant problem of racism plunged the country into chaos this year.
With more than 200,000 people dead to the virus and hundreds of thousands of people being affected on a daily basis, Trump didn’t make things easy for himself. Mocking the dead people and veterans of the nation, he was bound to have lost the election.
He is putting on an ugly show as he claims for voter fraud despite not having an iota of evidence and constant threats of lawsuits. He ramped up the chaos by claiming that he isn’t going to leave the White House and will leave the United States if he loses the election. Joe Biden has meanwhile gone on silent and let Trump self-destruct.
Similar incident in Burnley
This flown banner follows the similar incident of a #whitelivesmatter banner being flown over Burnley. Burnley has accusations of racism of its own and this is just another incident.
