La Liga giants FC Barcelona have reportedly agreed terms to sign Manchester United outcast Marcus Rashford on loan, until the end of the ongoing season. Recent reports indicate that Barca would have to pay a part of his salary to temporarily acquire his services.
Marcus Rashford has fallen out of favor at Old Trafford, under manager Ruben Amorim. The Portuguese manager cited his lack of effort in training as the reason for his omission from the squad. Rashford last made an appearance for the club back in December, against Viktoria Plzen in the Europe League. The 27-year-old has also seen a dip in form, scoring just seven goals in 24 matches this season.
Manchester United are willing to sell Marcus Rashford in the ongoing January transfer window, to make way for new attacking signings. The Englishman had also expressed his desire to end his two-decade long association with his boyhood club. Rashford noted his intent to take up a new challenge away from the Premier League, with several clubs interested.

While Borussia Dortmund and Napoli were among the front-runners to secure the 27-year-old’s services, Barcelona have surprisingly agreed on a loan deal for the forward. The two clubs have reportedly agreed to complete a six-month long loan move, with the club paying half of his £18 million a-year wages. The Catalan giants would however, have to offload players before landing Rashford.

In order to register the 27-year-old forward, Barcelona are hoping to sell winger Ansu Fati and center-back Eric Garcia. Marcus Rashford’s arrival at Camp Nou would also provide manager Hansi Flick with a back-up forward, to fill-up for first team stars Raphinha and Lamine Yamal.
Manchester United identify Serie A starlet as a replacement for outgoing forward Marcus Rashford
The Red Devils are reportedly eyeing a move for Leece wonder-kid Patrick Dorgu, as a replacement for outgoing forward Marcus Rashford. The 27-year-old United academy product is on his way out of the club, after being ousted from their match-day squads.
A traditional left-back, Dorgu’s attacking capabilities can make him a versatile option for manager Ruben Amorim at the left-wing. The Red Devils are already short on options at left wing-back, with Luke Shaw injured. Serie A side Leece would want at least £30 to £35 million for the 20-year-old, who has scored three goals and provided an assist in 22 matches this season.
🚨 Patrick Dorgu has been monitored by Tottenham and Chelsea, but he wants to join Manchester United.

Moreover, Rashford’s departure would also help United lower their wage bill, with the forward earning around £300,000k per week. This would allow the Red Devils to push up their pursuit of Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres.
