As the transfer window gets hotter, every single day brings fresh news of swaps being around the horizon which can have a significant effect on the club’s upcoming season. One of the latest speculations fuelled by a fresh wave of rumors is the situation of Liverpool vice-captain, Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s contract with Liverpool will be up at the end of next year. This has already started fascinating suitors of the highest order in the form of Real Madrid and Barcelona. The La Liga giants are in a very close contest to land the English sideback. However, Liverpool is also persistent enough to try and retain their vice-captain. This is not the first time that Barcelona has expressed their interest in the young English sensation. They came knocking on his doors a couple of years ago but had to return empty-handed.

Reports in Spain state that the English defender who at times slots himself as a midfielder if the team needs him to, may himself be eyeing for an exit. Particularly, with the current progress of the 21-year-old right-back Conor Bradley. Alongside those rumors, a few reports also state that he is willing to join his English teammate, Jude Bellingham at Santiago Bernabeu.

The pair of Alexander-Arnold and Jude Bellingham was seen spending a vacation together in Los Angeles where the former went on to sign a t-shirt for a Real Madrid fan. Alexander-Arnold has been a part of the Liverpool team for the last eight years, ever since his joining in 2016. He has played 226 matches while scoring 15 goals for the club. Apart from that he has also earned 29 English caps which has seen him smash three goals already.

As such, they will be going all guns blazing for Nico Williams to be a part of their prized squad that would see him pair up with Spain’s Euro-winning winger, Lamine Yamal.
