Barcelona and Hansi Flick are flying in La Liga. With a 3-1 over Espanyol on Sunday, the Blaugrana extended their lead at the top to nine points. Dani Olmo bagged a brace as captain Raphinha also claimed a goal. Barcelona is on a six-game winning streak and will play Crvena zvezda in the Champions League in three days.

Barcelona went straight to business as Lamine Yamal set up Dani Olmo with a sublime trivela assist. The hosts then doubled their lead through Raphinha, who was put through on goal with a direct pass into the penalty area by Marc Casado. The 21-year-old midfielder is currently on a good spell of form and has attracted praise from fans for his assist.

Olmo then completed his brace with a stunning shot from outside the penalty box. His blistering strike found the top right corner as the home fans cheered in jubilation.

Two well-worked goals from Espanyol were struck down after VAR, making fans praise Hansi Flick’s ingenious offside trap once again. Espanyol finally bagged a consolation through Javi Puado in the 63rd minute.

Hansi Flick made no effort to conceal his excitement as Barcelona continued to dominate their opponents in Spain. Following the game, the German tactician praised his ‘young’ squad and the three ‘incredible’ goals that they scored. However, fans were also surprised to see that he wasn’t pleased with his team’s ‘overall’ display.

Goal scorer Dani Olmo also reacted to the win with pride, as he now has five goals in all competitions for the club.
