Barcelona great Lionel Messi shared an emphatic rare reaction to his former side’s crushing 4-0 win over arch-rivals Real Madrid in a La Liga encounter. The Catalan side delivered a brilliant performance, marking their first El Clasico win since the past year.
Barca cruised to a comfortable 4-0 win, thanks to goals from Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal. It marked a major step ahead for the Hansi Flick-managed side, who now head the La Liga points table with 30 points from just 11 matches, six ahead of their rivals Real Madrid.
In celebration of the club’s recent victory at the Santiago Bernabeu, club legend Lionel Messi, who etched his name as the greatest player to play for the club, shared a message to his former side on social media.
Despite having left the club in 2021, the Argentinian star holds a deep connection with the club. At the end of the El Clasico, the 37-year-old former player reacted to Barcelona’s win by interacting with the team’s official social media post.
Messi commented on the Instagram post celebrating the 4-0 win, by labeling it as a ‘beautiful victory’. Not just Lionel Messi, but former Barcelona star Neymar Jr. also shared his reaction to the club’s victory over Real Madrid, by posting a message that read ‘Visca Barca’.

Meanwhile, the Catalan club ended Real Madrid’s 42-match unbeaten streak in the Spanish league. The club, most recently, also celebrated its 4-1 Champions League victory over Bayern Munich, taking revenge for its past defeats to the Bundesliga giants.

Their return onto the pitch together would definitely increase the stardom of the MLS.
Having most recently made his return from a season-long ACL injury, Neymar could be on his way out of Al-Hilal next season. However, his massive salary demands could prove to be a hindrance to his Inter Miami transfer.
