The Barracuda Championship 2024 is an official PGA TOUR event held in collaboration with the DP World Tour. It will take place from July 18 to 21 at Tahoe Mountain Club’s Old Greenwood in Truckee, California. The tournament features a purse of $4 million, with the winner receiving $720,000. The event is broadcast live on The Golf Channel throughout the week.
The tournament follows a Modified Stableford scoring format. This will award points based on the number of strokes made at each hole. The tournament is open to 156 professional golfers. Notable players like Cameron Champ, Daniel Berger, and Nick Hardy will be present on the course.
Akshay Bhatia won the 2023 Barracuda championship with a final score of +40. He got $684,000 as the winner’s share. The event awards 300 FedEx Cup points and 4,250 DPWTR points. The schedule includes many events, including a Monday Pro-Am, Junior Golf Day, and an AWS-sponsored Pro-Am on Wednesday. The event officially begins on Thursday, July 18, with the final round and closing ceremonies on Sunday, July 21.
Barracuda Championship 2024: TV, Streaming & Radio Schedule
Akshay Bhatia, the defending champion of the 2023 Barracuda Championship, will not be participating in the 2024 edition of the tournament. The Golf Channel will provide live coverage of all four rounds, with broadcasts scheduled from 5-8 PM ET on Thursday through Sunday. The PGA TOUR‘s website and mobile app also provide live scores and updates.
The first group will tee off at 9:45 AM ET. This pair will comprised of Michael Lorenzo-Vera, Alex Smalley, and Carl Yuan. On the other hand, Hayden Springer and Alejandro Tosti will be the final group of the day at 11:57 a.m. ET.
