Caitlin Clark‘s showcase of elite performance in tonight’s win against LSU had the basketball world swooning. LSU had no answer for Clark’s dominance in her revenge game. So much so that star guard Hailey Van Lith had no answer to the Iowa Hawkeyes star’s shooting. Van Lith had a meme-worthy reaction to one of those unreal long-range three-point shots, which has since gone viral.

With the game tied at the halfway point, Caitlin Clark knew LSU was turning the game around by suffocating her. From the 3rd quarter onwards, Clark took over the game with the shot she is most famous for, the long-range three. Hailey Van Lith is 5′ 7″ and even though she is a pretty good perimeter defender, did not stand a chance against the barrage of threes from Clark. In one play, the Iowa superstar understood that Van Lith was following her closely. She stepped back and launched a three, leaving Van Lith to throw her arms up, seemingly confused as to what else she could do.

This visual has gone viral as there was nothing the LSU star guard could do. Even though she constantly harrowed Clark and tried to slow her down. Throwing up her arms suggested that even she could not think of anything else that could stop Clark from dominating the game.

The all-time greatest scorer in NCAA history had answers for all the schemes LSU threw at her. In several plays, she was triple-covered by LSU players, but still found a way to either score or create an opportunity for her teammates. It seems Van Lith just gestured what her entire team was enduring.

The reaction has since been shared and reposted countless times. So much so that Hailey Van Lith, a superstar in her own right, is facing trolls from the entire basketball community. There was no consolation that Van Lith was ill. Nor that she was facing a fellow superstar who was motivated beyond measure. After all, it was revenge time for Clark.
