The hype for Krafton’s first competitive tournament has started gaining momentum after months of delay by the officials. After announcing that the registrations for Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 is going to be closed on 28th November, the official schedule of the tournament has been revealed.
Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 features a massive prize pool of 1 Crore. The open for all tournament will mark the entry of professional players into the competitive world of Battlegrounds Mobile India (Indian version of PUBG Mobile). As of now, Krafton was only hosting invitational tournaments which featured nominal prize pools. Therefore, the commencement of BGIS 2021 is highly anticipated by the players. Let us now have a look at the start date, revised schedule of the tournament.
Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021: Start date and revised schedule
Krafton’s open for all tournament was initially scheduled to be held in the month of August, however, the nuisance created by the hackers compelled the officials to delay the tournament. Fortunately, after revamped anti cheat updates, fans are expecting less hackers in the tournament. After revealing the close date of registrations for BGMI Series, the rulebook of the tournament has given us major details regarding the tournament.

Going true to the rumours, BGMI India Series 2021 is going to commence from 4th December,2021. The tournament will be conduced in the 6 stages as announced earlier, although the dates have been changed. Players can have a look at the revised schedule below:
- In-game Qualifiers- 4th December-8th December (1024 teams qualify)
- Online Qualifiers- 16th December- 30th December (64 teams qualify)
- Quarter Finals- 2nd January- 5th January (24 teams qualify)
- Semi Finals- 7th January- 10th January (16 teams qualify)
- Grand Finals- 13th January-16th January (champion)
Although any official confirmation has not been provided yet, Krafton is likely to conduct an invitational scrim featuring 32 best BGMI teams from the country. The scrim wil be titled as ‘GRIND‘ and might be held before the in game qualifiers begins. At the in game qualifiers, players will need to play 15 matches over the given time period and the best performance from the 15 matches will be considered for qualifiation.
Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 features a prize pool of 1 Crore where the winning team will take a lion’s share of 50 lakhs. iQOO was already announced as the title sponsor of the tournament and players should start registering at the tournament if they haven’t done so until now.
