Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso confirmed reports that stated that striker Victor Boniface is ready to depart the club in the ongoing January transfer window. The 24-year-old’s representatives are currently in talks with Saudi Pro League side, Al-Nassr.
Recent reports revealed that 24-year-old Victor Boniface is on the verge of signing for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. It will make him their seventh-European player. He would get the opportunity to play alongside Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo and ex-Liverpool forward Sadio Mane. The middle-eastern club has eyed him as a replacement for Anderson Talisca, who is on his way to join Fenerbahce.
Al-Nassr’s delegation has reportedly arrived in Germany, and has initiated negotiations to sign Boniface. Leverkusen has slapped a price-tag of €45 million on the forward, which was signed just a season ago from Belgian club, Union Saint-Gilloise. Named Rookie of the Season, Boniface helped Leverkusen claim their first-ever Bundesliga title, while also remaining their season top-scorer with 21 goals.

Loan + option offered to City; Xabi Alonso, huge fan as he’s 1st choice to replace injured Terrier.

The Man City academy graduate has found limited playing opportunities under Pep Guardiola. As such, a loan move could appeal to both the player and the club. It could help him develop, and become a long-term option within the Cityzens squad.
