Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich started the 2024-25 pre-season with a bang, under their newly appointed manager Vincent Kompany. The Bavarian team secured an impressive 14-1 victory against FC Rottach-Egern, ushering in a new era.

Rottach-Egern successfully held off Bayern for the first 23 minutes until Adin Licina broke the deadlock. The Bavarian giants quickly followed with three goals in the next three minutes, bringing the score to 4-0. Mathys Tel scored a hat-trick as Bayern reached a final score of 14. Among the ten different goalscorers were Noussair Mazraoui, Raphael Guerreiro, Sacha Boey, and five other youth players. Tobias Schlichtner of Rottach-Egern scored a consolation goal.

This resounding win helped Vincent Kompany begin his new Bayern era on a positive note, garnering reactions from club fans worldwide. The former Belgian captain was appointed as the new manager by the German club after they parted ways with Thomas Tuchel in May.
