Video: Top WWE star returns during chaotic SmackDown main event on go-home episode of Bash in Berlin
A former world champion made her presence known on SmackDown when she returned to even the odds during the main event.

Bayley returns on SmackDown (via WWE)
One day before Bash in Berlin, fans were treated to an enthralling SmackDown go-home episode. In the main event, Nia Jax defended her WWE Women’s Championship against Michin in a street fight. As expected, the duo brought out several weapons during the bout, including chairs, tables, and trash cans. Just when it looked like Mia Yim had gained momentum, Tiffany Stratton rolled down to the ring with her MITB briefcase.
Stratton continuously hit the 35-year-old with the briefcase. Moments later, Bayley made her surprising return on SmackDown and took out Ms. Money in the Bank from the equation. This left Michin and Jax alone inside the ring. After a back-and-forth exchange, The Irresistible Force delivered a Samoan drop through a table. Furthermore, she hit the Annihilator on her opponent to pick up the win and retain the women’s title.
If that wasn’t enough of an exclamation point, Jax threw a barrage of weapons at Michin to presumably send a message. In her first title defense, the Samoan wrestler did not disappoint at all. Since returning to WWE last year, the 40-year-old has showcased tremendous in-ring improvement and left behind the criticism from her previous run. Her efforts were rewarded at SummerSlam when she defeated Bayley to become a two-time Women’s Champion.
Speaking of The Role Model, this was her first televised appearance since her loss at the Biggest Party of the Summer. Bayley recently returned to in-ring action during the WWE live tour of Europe. A few days ago, the veteran sent out a cryptic message on social media, indicating frustration over her current booking. Nonetheless, fans cannot wait to see what the future holds for the grand slam champion.
Tiffany Stratton teased cashing in her MITB briefcase on Nia Jax on SmackDown
As mentioned above, Tiffany Stratton interfered in the main event match on SmackDown. After attacking Michin with her MITB briefcase, there was a slight moment of hesitance from Stratton. The latter considered cashing in the Money in the Bank contract. However, Nia Jax quickly stood up and shot a stern look at her face.
Before anything further could happen, Bayley’s music hit, and Stratton was out of the ring in no time. Although the pair has formed an alliance over the past month, tensions have arisen due to the champion-MITB holder dynamic. In fact, The Center of the Universe has had to prove her loyalty a couple of times to Jax.
The Irresistible Force has grown suspicious of the former NXT Women’s Champion. For now, it seems that Stratton will keep busy with The Role Model while Jax will move on to a new challenger. Hence, only time will tell how things play out between the two supposed friends on SmackDown.
