Bayley has been relishing her time as WWE Women’s Champion ever since capturing the title at WrestleMania XL. Recently, she traveled to Japan for a 3-day WWE SuperShow summer tour. She wrestled on all three days, and it looked like the matches were indeed hard-hitting. The Role Model showed off her battle scars after the events.
Bayley posted a clip on her Instagram story, showing her swollen face and bruised lips from the tour. She even wrote the caption, saying, “Japan got me good.” On the first two days, she participated in an 8-person tag team match along with Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Meiko Satomura and defeated Damage CTRL and Tiffany Stratton. However, at the end of day 2, the Japanese legend challenged the champion to a title match for the next day.
In a hard-hitting match, the 35-year-old star retained her title against Satomura and continued her reign. However, an even bigger challenge awaits her at SummerSlam in the form of Nia Jax. The Irresistible Force won the Queen of the Ring tournament two months ago to earn a title shot. The two stars have been trading insults for weeks.
On the latest episode of SmackDown, Jax and Buff Barbie defeated Bayley and Mia Yim in a tag team match. It will be a tough challenge for the champ to overcome an opponent like Jax. However, she also has to keep an eye on her friend, Stratton, who can cash in on her anytime, anywhere.
