Both hopeful fan clique and Nassourdine Imavov see a title crack in the future after UFC Saudi Arabia. Yet, Sean Strickland is rematching for the title at UFC 312: Du Plessis vs Strickland 2 PPV event, Live from Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, next weekend. Belal Muhammad has some thoughts about it.

Imavov (16-4 MMA, 8-2 UFC) logged the biggest win of his career at Riyadh’s UFC Fight Night 250 main event at ANB Arena, UFC Saudi Arabia. He knocked out former champ Israel Adesanya; Belal Muhammad and others reacted wholeheartedly to the moment.

Yet, it’s ‘Here’s the thing guys, Pro-American middleweight’ loudmouth Sean Strickland who leapfrogs him. The ordeal confuses “Bully Belal” where someone like Nassourdine Imavov exists.

Crazy that chimaev finished Whittaker and imavov finished Izzy but the guy that teeped costa 150 times is getting the title shot ..but we all know he’s good at crying and using his mouth no diddy I just heard it from his dad.

Also in the waiting aisle is Khamzat Chimaev who was promised a shot at gold. “Borz” is fresh off a Round-1 submission (face crank) – at the 3:34 mark over Robert Whittaker which broke through the lower digits. After UFC 308 PPV, he is the ultimate gatekeeper to the top contender seat. Belal Muhammad, who has aspirations for the UFC 185-pound weight class and often gibes at Strickland, finds it astounding.

Sean Strickland lost his gold in a controversial split decision at UFC 297 PPV, January of last year. Ever since “Tarzan” has been adamant that hard-head leftist Canadians screwed him over at the Scotiabank Arena PPV feature In Toronto. Nassourdine Imavov could make the climb; brass also promises Chimaev is next, but for now, Strickland gets his.

Good for Belal Muhammad of all people to diss back at the title challenger. Muhammad himself has been subject to all the profane possible, especially given his link to Palestine on the global stage. As a 185 aspirant, the new welterweight champ has thus not been keeping shut.

He even often brings up Strickland’s childhood abuse to bully him on it. Nassourdine Imavov doesn’t care about these to-and-fros though. He’s eagle-eyed for a shot at gold and knows it can come to it anyway.

Truthfully, “Bully Belal” and his counter make sense. Strickland rebounded from losing the strap, teeping off on shelled-up boxing and spamming goliath steps. He defeated Paulo Costa at UFC 302, last June, in what was anything but a worthy co-main to that card.

Meanwhile, those like the Chechen Chimaev is still going undefeated. Nassourdine Imavov, entering the fold as UFC-ranked No. 5 middleweight, is on a winning streak. After UFC Saudi Arabia, he also fits the bill. He defeated former two-time champ Adesanya of all people. Only Alex Pereira has been able to knock out the veteran middleweight with strikes.

I feel great…To be honest, it’s just another victory. A fight is a fight. Obviously, it feels great to beat someone who’s a legend of the sport…I cleaned the weight class in one year…Four fights, two wins against top 10 competition. Two finishes against top 5 competition – Next is the belt.

Dricus Du Plessis’ 185-pound title gold will be up for grabs at UFC 312 PPV in a rematch next weekend, in Australia. Only time will tell if his performance was good enough to secure him a title shot. He and No.3 ranking Chimaev are the only worthy seeds right now.
