On a night headlined by A.J. McKee vs Darrion Caldwell, “The Maori Kid” Jay Jay Wilson produced a stunning display against Sergio DeBari. The New Zealand born mixed martial artist just needed 20 seconds to go about his business against New Jersey based DeBari. No sooner did the bell ring than Jay Jay floored DeBari with a big right hand. He then followed it up with a barrage of punches to DeBari who was already half dazed leaning against the cage.
The win saw Jay Jay Wilson maintain his perfect record of 7 wins and no losses. He sure is a one to look out for, with 6 finishes out of 7, that includes 4 submissions and 2 knockouts.

Speaking in the post-fight interview, Jay Jay Wilson said, “I’ve been envisioning this for the past week. I’ve been lying in my bed thinking about this, I’ve been envisioning this into reality.“
It will be interesting to see how the 23 year-old fares in his future fights, as he soon will have to up the ante when he takes on stronger opponents. The featherweight division is already stacked with phenomenal fighters like Patricio Freire, A.J. McKee ; will the New Zealand youngster become a big name?
