“I have a great chance” Bellator middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi believes he can beat Israel Adesanya

Gegard Mousasi believes he can beat Israel Adesanya
MMA Legend Gegard Mousasi thinks he has a great chance of beating the UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya if they could ever lock horns. Gegard believes he is at his best and no one can stop him right now.
36-year-old Gegard Mousasi is one of the most underrated fighters in MMA history. The two-time Bellator champion has fought across different MMA promotions and tasted success in all of them. Mousasi is recently coming off a win against Austin Vanderford at Bellator 275 making his title defense. Gegard also said, “I’m the best middleweight. I never said that because I never believed it. But from now on, you better believe it.”
Mousasi beat Vanderford via TKO in 85 seconds and was feeling very confident in the post-fight press conference. Mousasi is ready to take on anybody that comes in his way, even if it is the middleweight superstar from UFC, Israel Adesanya. “I’m at my best and more confident than ever. So anyone comes, they’re gonna get it,” said Mousasi in the post-fight press conference.
Mousasi now has a record of 49-7-2 in his entire professional MMA career. The fighter has acquired belts from Bellator MMA, Strikeforce, DREAM, and Cage Warriors. Gegard has also lost only one fight since September 2015 having won 12 of his last 13 fights. “The Dreamcatcher” truly believes he is the best middleweight in the world putting himself above “The Last Stylebender.”
Gegard Mousasi says he has trained with fighters that have done well against Adesanya

“I trained with guys that fought against Adesanya, they fought well and even won. And I am better than them in the standup. Of course, I feel like I have a great chance,” said Mousasi after his win against Vanderford at Bellator 275. Though Gegard would love a fight against Izzy, he is aware that it is not possible.
“I can win. But you know, talking about is like talking about I wanna be Santa Claus. It’s not possible.” MMA fans have always craved for a cross-promotional title fight but have never witnessed one. Israel is currently lapping UFC’s middleweight division and is looking for “Fresh Blood”. A Mousasi vs Adesanya fight sure does not sound bad.
