The former UFC champion, Anderson Silva who in his prime used to rule the UFC Octagon and made a name for himself by defeating UFC’s greatest fighters of his time is seen to be not in the game anymore. Silva has lost five of his last six fights and all the losses came by knockouts.

In his latest fight against Uriah Hall, Silva was defeated again in the Octagon by a third-round knockout. After this fight, Dana White stated that “It was his biggest mistake to let Silva fight once again in the ring and he won’t do it again at any cost”.

But ‘The Spider’ has still one fight left in his contract with UFC but White is not willing to send the 46-year-old Silva in the ring again and get him humiliated in front of the other. This fighter holds an undefeated streak before he lost to Chris Weidman and in his recent fights; he seemed to passed out his prime as he lost almost all of them.

‘The Spider’ still wants to remain active in MMA. Speculations were high the maybe he can get a chance to fight in Bellator. The Bellator president Scott Coker says, “I have a lot of respect for him, He’s one of the greatest fighters in the history of mixed martial arts”.

“I really haven’t thought about it, but I think I’m happy with the way our roster is heading and the fighters that we have now. I think that’s my statement on that.” Although Coker is the one that has done the same thing before by arranging a fight between 52-year-old Ken Shamrock and 49-year-old Royce Gracie as Bellator 149 main event.

But for Silva, he doesn’t think he has any spot on his roster.
