Bellator MMA and several other MMA promotions are watching closely what Nate Diaz’s next move will be given he is now officially out of contract with the UFC. Scott Coker, Bellator CEO comes out with news about a possible move for the Stockton native.
Nate Diaz stunned the world during his final fight in the UFC octagon. The Stockton Superstar after fighting in the UFC for 15 years decided it was time for him to leave the organization to try his hands in different parts of the combat sports world. Who wouldn’t want Nate to fight in their organization?
Bellator MMA is widely considered the next best promotion in mixed martial arts after UFC. Scott Coker, the CEO of Bellator has recently revealed that he is in talks with the Diaz brother about a potential move.
“We are definitely talking to him. We reached out and I know he’s talking to everybody. He’s in a pretty good situation,” said Scott in a recent interview with BBC MMA.

“I know he wants to fight Jake Paul. Jake Paul’s fighting Anderson Silva on Showtime PPV, which is our home network. There’s some synergies here, we’re just hoping we could have some type of deal to at least have his MMA fights with Bellator. So, we are in dialogue,” added Coker.

Nate Diaz looks at Jake Paul as “one of the options”
Jake Paul has been a real menace to the combat sports community. Since his rise to the top, the YouTuber/boxer has been targeting UFC veterans for his boxing matches. Paul has found a way to break open the market with his interesting fights and he finally has the attention of Nate Diaz himself.
Jake is fighting Anderson Silva, a former UFC middleweight champion for his next fight and the Diaz brother believes a win against Silva could potentially see the YouTuber fight the Stockton star.

“[Jake Paul] is sure one of the options. He’s doing big stuff. He’s doing big things. He’s got a big fight ahead of him. If he wins that, I’m sure people will be impressed by it,” said Nate talking to iD Boxing. “Now everything is open for the taking,” added Nate when asked about fighting Paul.
