“Corny a** sh**!” Ben Simmons FLAMED by Patrick Beverley after promising huge comeback season
Former NBA player Patrick Beverley lashed out at Nets star Ben Simmons regarding his availability for his side on the Pat Bev Podcast.
Ben Simmons and Patrick Beverley
Brooklyn Nets star Ben Simmons has stolen the headlines lately after former NBA star Patrick Beverley‘s recent comments. Simmons, who is about to enter his ninth NBA season, has played for the Brooklyn Nets for the previous four. However, just 57 games have been played by the Nets star in the last three seasons, as injuries have hampered his career as of yet.
Patrick Beverley does not seem to be impressed by this. That is because, over the last 2-3 years, Simmons has been posting a ton of workout videos. On the other hand, he does not seem to be getting match fit anytime soon. This did not sit well with the former NBA star. Beverley called out Simmons on his self-titled podcast regarding this particular topic.
After playing in 15 games last season, Simmons finished with averages of 6.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game while shooting 58.1% from the field. On October 23, the Nets will visit Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena for their opening game of the 2024–25 NBA regular season. However, Simmons’ availability to participate in the NBA season’s first game is still up in the air.
Ben Simmons provided an important update regarding his injury
Ben Simmons was present and gave a message during the Brooklyn Nets’ media day in New York, much to the delight of the fans. The three-time NBA All-Star talked about his ‘recovery’ in a seven-minute conversation with YES Network. Simmons stated that he ‘is excited’ for the upcoming NBA season.
In recent years, Simmons has failed to stay healthy for his side. Resultantly, he has been criticized a lot by NBA veterans regarding his injury record.
Without a doubt, he is one of the league’s best attackers when healthy. The Nets would be a formidable team in the Eastern Conference if he could continue to play well.
