The New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers have made the Eastern Conference Finals a lot more exciting than it was originally thought of. Tyrese Haliburton and his crew have taken the series lead, and some of it had to do with Pat McAfee taunting New Yorkers Ben Stiller and Timothée Chalamet in Game 4.

The taunt saw the former NFL placekicker rile up the Indianapolis crowd to keep cheering on their team so that they could send the celebrities back to their city with a loss. Stiller and Chalamet had to go back home after their team embarrassingly lost Game 4.

Tyrese Haliburton helped matters after his NBA playoff record-setting performance helped his teammates gain an early edge and keep it that way until the end. Now the Indiana Pacers lead the series 3-1, and usually that means that the leading team ends up winning that round.

But 5% of the teams down 3-1 have ended up upsetting the series leaders, and New York Knicks fans hope that their team could be a part of that 5%. Ben Stiller also believes that, and he decided to throw down the gauntlet at Pat McAfee.

Come to game 5 Pat!!

He added two laughing emoticons at the end of his tweet, suggesting he knows what the ESPN host would face if he were to arrive at Madison Square Garden for Game 5. The atmosphere will be loud, and Stiller knows that if those passionate New Yorkers taunted Pacers legend Reggie Miller last season, targeting the former NFL star would be easier.

Ben Stiller did not know who Pat McAfee was

During Pat McAfee’s show earlier today, he mentioned that when Pacers staff handed him the microphone, Timothée Chalamet had a smile on his face, as if he knew what was coming, but Ben Stiller was not impressed. It seems the ‘Night at the Museum’ actor did not know who was taunting him.

I have to say, I was not familiar with his game. I did not know that was coming. I’m a casual football fan. I know he was like a field goal kicker? Placekicker? Punter, he was a punter. And then he got really popular on his show. Was he also a wrestler? Does he also wrestle? I wasn’t aware of that.

The 59-year-old actor then went on to say that during the taunt, he understood that Chalamet was on Pat McAfee’s Show. That is where he was caught off guard, as he did not expect a random NFL star to pick on him and his fellow Hollywood star.

Once he was made aware that McAfee also takes part in the WWE, Stiller understood how that taunt came about. He understood the entertainment aspect of it, but still believes the ESPN host needs to feel how New Yorkers think about him.

Ben Stiller still has hope for his Knicks

Ben Stiller hopes that his New York Knicks come back with a vengeance to win Game 5. Only then can they hope to win the Eastern Conference Finals and move on to the NBA Finals for the first time in more than 25 years.

He reshared an X poll, which depicted that fans still believe the Knicks will come back to win the series in seven games. He admired that fans have not given up on their team, and believe the Villanova Boys, along with Karl-Anthony Towns, can still cause a major upset.

All they have to do is get to the NBA Finals. Once they get their due rest, Knicks fans believe their team has a chance when taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder. Ben Stiller and New Yorkers hope this is their year of basketball glory.
