While Ben Verlander might have hung up his boots early, his brother Justin Verlander is still going on. The 9-time MLB All-Star will be entering his 21st season as a major league player in 2025. Before this season, his brother has once again hyped him up on social media.

A month ago in January, Verlander penned down a one-year deal with the San Francisco Giants. This came after the 2024 season saw him miss a few games as he got injured.

Following the end of the 2024 campaign, many thought that he would announce his retirement. However, the 3-time Cy Young Award is not done yet. He will return for another year in the MLB and pitch for the Giants.

With the Spring Training underway, he was seen throwing pitches while wearing the orange and black colors of the Giants. Taking to his X account, Ben Verlander would share a clip of him and wrote, “Big year coming“.

Big year coming. Weird injuries last year never allowing him to get in the swing of things. Good the year before. Cy Young the year prior. He ain’t done.

Verlander made his debut in the MLB in 2005 with the Detroit Tigers. Over the years gone by, he has accomplished several things and has lifted the World Series twice. It is likely that once he retires and becomes eligible for the Hall of Famer, he would be a first-ballot entry.
