Joe Burrow has played with several big-name receivers over the years. He currently throws to Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, who are the highest-earning wide receiver duo in NFL history.
That said, the two-time Comeback Player of the Year has always wanted to play with Davante Adams. Burrow’s wish will come to fruition later this year. Fans of the Los Angeles Rams can breathe easy; Adams is not signing with the Bengals. Adams and Burrow will team up for the upcoming flag football game in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This is a guy I’ve always wanted to play with… Davante Adams.
Joe Burrow said when Adams stepped on the stage (HT/USA Today)
Adams was part of the Rams team that reached the NFC title game last campaign. The All-Pro wideout caught 60 passes for 789 yards and finished as the league’s receiving touchdown leader with 14. Of course, the Rams lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the championship game. It was the veteran’s fifth defeat in this stage since entering the NFL.
It’s tough to focus on that right now. It’s tough. It’s a tough moment we’re in right now, so process the emotions of this and then worry about that. Obviously, I love this team, love what this team is about. Love the fight that we had all year. It just sucks to come up short.
Adams said back then
In his 12-year career, Adams has appeared in 178 games, racking up 1,017 receptions for 12,633 yards and 117 touchdowns.
The Bengals, meanwhile, missed the playoffs for the third straight year after finishing 6-11 in 2023. It happened because Burrow missed nine games with a turf-toe injury. He completed 66.8% of his passes for 1809 yards and threw 17 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.
Ja’Marr Chase caught 125 passes for 1412 yards and scored 8 touchdowns, while Tee Higgins had 846 yards and 11 touchdowns on 59 catches. According to Spotrac, the Bengals have committed around $246 million to keep the two wideouts in Cincinnati.
Tom Brady taunts Joe Burrow for his appearance at the Oscars
During the March 18 ceremony in Los Angeles, Burrow was accompanied by several other notable NFL figures, in addition to Adams. Tom Brady, Jayden Daniels, and Jalen Hurts found out about which teams they will represent at the flag football event.

Brady took the opportunity to roast Burrow. The 48-year-old pointed out Burrow’s recent walk through the Vanity Fair Oscars alongside Alix Earle, an influencer with whom Brady has been linked over the past couple of months. Burrow’s team is named ‘Wildcats,’ and Brady joked that the name was appropriate for him.
That’s what they called Joe the other night at those Oscars parties…the Wildcat. At least he’s here, no fashion shows to attend.
Tom Brady said (HT/People)
Burrow reportedly did not respond to Brady’s comment and simply brushed it off with a smile. Burrow’s first love is football. That said, in recent times, he has diversified his interests. The LSU legend is slowly making his mark on the world of fashion. Last year, he walked at the Paris Fashion Week with his former Tigers teammate and Vikings WR Justin Jefferson.
Earlier this month, the paparazzi caught Burrow playing poker with Hollywood actor Jessica Alba in Vegas. Fans instantly shipped the two despite their roughly twenty years’ age difference. However, people close to the Fantastic Four star shut down dating rumors.
Sources with direct knowledge who confirmed the rumors couldn’t be less true. As for the photo of them together, they were part of a larger group, weren’t alone, and were acting strictly like friends. On top of that, Jessica is still dating Danny Ramirez!
Cosmopolitan reported
Burrow once dated model Olivia Ponton and was rumored to be engaged to his crush, Olivia Holzmacher, though that rumor later proved to be false.
