After completing all the formalities, the Brazilian midfielder, Bruno Ramires to the official website:
I am very happy to have signed with Bengaluru FC. It’s a new challenge for me and I hope to have a good season with my new teammates. My primary target is to fight for trophies with this club, because I know this team has a winning mentality. I want to work hard with my new teammates, play as much as I can and contribute to the team in the best possible way
The gaffer, Marco Pezzaiuoli, said:
Bruno is a young, influential and a very versatile player who can play in many positions in the midfield. He makes his presence felt on both ends of the pitch, and with his experiences playing in Brazil and the Portuguese First Division, I am sure he will help what is a relatively young squad. His signing will lend the team solidity as we look forward to the Indian Super League season
Bruno Ramires rose through the ranks of Cruzeiro in Brazil before sealing the move to EC Vitoria in 2017 on a loan deal. Later the player plyed his trade in the Portuguese top-tier for Moreirense FC for a season. However, he returned to Brazil and joined Ponte Preto in the 2018/19 season.
The player later moved to Centro Sportivo Alagoano on a free transfer and featured for the outfit for a year. The Brazilian selected Selecao again as his destination and joined Feirense and plyed his trade for Belenenses as well. Now, he will be joining the Indian Super League outfit, Bengaluru FC.
Ever since the injury to Raphael Augusto, Bengaluru FC have lacked the creativity in the midfield. The team struggled to break down the defenses and as a result of that BFC finished outside the top four for the first time in the Indian Super League in the 2020/21 season. The team’s struggle was once again seen in the AFC Cup games as well. BFC were unable to break down the low block defenses. With Bruno, they will expect the creativity to flourish in the league.
Manchester United were benefitted by the arrival of one Bruno, i.e, Bruno Fernandes. Can Bengaluru FC regain their lost territory in the Indian football with Bruno Ramires?
