Sunisa Lee couldn't keep calm, and for good reason, as she bumped into Beyonce at Glamour's Women of the Year Awards.

Olympic gold medalist Sunisa Lee recently had the pleasure of meeting the music legend Beyonce. Fangirling would be an understatement as she struggled to keep her calm. Suffice to say the fans agree she had the most appropriate reaction.
Beyonce was one of the guests at Glamour Magazine’s Women of the Year Awards held on October 8, while the American gymnast too was present at the said gala in the New York city. During the event the two bumped into each other and the magazine’s cameras caught the moment and posted on their X handle.
The two greeted each other with a hug and chatted for a while. Needless to say, Lee could not keep her calm as she fangirled over the ‘Single ladies‘ singer.

Although the conversation cannot be heard, the fans understood the assignment. Shortly thereafter, the two posed for a picture together which Sunisa Lee posted on her Instagram stories. The American gymnast, honoree for Glamour‘s Women of the Year issue, donned a shimmery long sleeve blue green Ombre dress. Meanwhile Beyonce, there to support her mother Tina Knowles, wore a butter yellow shirt with a metallic yellow long skirt and a cinch in belt.
However, this wasn’t the first interaction the two have had. Prior to the Paris Olympics, Beyonce shot an introduction to team USA video for the NBC’s primetime coverage.
The 2-minute and 30-second clip remixed Beyonce’s song “YA YA” from her Cowboy Carter album as she introduced the athletes. Sunisa Lee appeared with her gymnastics teammates Jade Carey, Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles and Hezly Rivera.
Sunisa Lee picks violin music for her floor routine at Paris Olympics
While Sunisa Lee had a successful Paris Olympics campaign, her performances were particularly eye catching and graceful. The fans noted a significant reason for it was her choice of music for the floor routine. Like every gymnast is given a choice, Sunisa Lee chose American violinist Lindsey Stirling.
The Paris Olympics were supposedly a redemption tour after the gymnast was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2023. Being on bed rest, Lee announced that she will be taking a break from the sport. However, it all fit into place as she recovered by the time of 2024 Summer games.
Sunisa Lee used Stirling’s music for her floor routine performance in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics as well. That was when she won her first Olympic gold medal. Cut to today, Sunisa Lee now has two gold, one silver, and three bronze medals.
