BGMI Lite around the corner
Fans of Krafton’s Battlegrounds Mobile India have been demanding the toned down version of the game for a long time and the recent rumours from official and unofficial sources suggest that the announcement of BGMI Lite is likely in a few days.
Ever since the arrival of Battlegrounds Mobile India, Indian battle-royale fans are urging the officials to launch a lighter version of the game as the original game is filled with a lot of latency and ping issues. BGMI Lite is particularly wanted by the players who own low end devices as a light version would mean the same quality of graphics under less storage. Lately, there have been a lot of rumours circulating over the internet therefore, fans can expect a major announcement soon.
When will Krafton release BGMI Lite?
Previously in an interaction with the fans, the officials had revealed that the release of BGMI’s light version is unlikely because Krafton had already introduced a light weight installation function where the game’s resources would take much less space. Even after using this function fans are experiencing frame drops specially those who play with a 2 GB RAM device.

After much speculations, the officials gave a cryptic hint regarding the launch of BGMI Lite. Few days ago, an official poll on the discord server of Battlegrounds Mobile India asked the fans “Why do you want BGMI Lite”? This question sent fans in a frenzy as their hopes for the game finally saw a silver lining. Nonetheless, it is also important to note that any confirmation regarding the release has not been made.
As fans got little information from the officials, they turned up to the content creators who fortunately assured the fans that Krafton is planning to announce the game soon considering the widespread demand by the players. As of now, Abhijeet “Ghatak” Andhare of GodLike Esports is the only renowned BGMI personality who has given us vital information regarding the development of the game.
Ghatak had previously told his fans that BGMI Lite’s arrival might be late but it will be released for sure. In addition to that, in a recent interview with Sportskeeda Esports, he has revealed that it can expected that BGMI Lite release can be seen in the month of December. Other known faces such as Maxtern and GodPraveenYT have also satisfied the fans about their announcement on BGMI Lite.
Encapsulating all the recent rumours on the battle-royale game, fans can expect that Krafton is most likely to announce the lighter version of BGMI soon. Meanwhile, Krafton has also announced that the registrations of BGMI India Series will be closed on 28th November.
