“Bhuvi vs Pak is a different story”- Twitter errupts as Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya break Pakistan’s back; bundle out arch-rivals on 147
IND vs PAK
The high-profile match between the sports’ arch – rivals India and Pakistan has started and the latter got bundled out on just 147 on Sunday, August 28 at the Dubai International Stadium in UAE.
Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first. Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave Pakistan a huge blow by dismissing Pakistan skipper Babar Azam on just 10 runs. The No. 1 batsman’s face was full of shock when Arshdeep Singh made no mistake while grabbing a comfortable catch.
The next batter, Fakhar Zaman soon followed his captain when wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik quickly caught the ball from behind the stumps. And before the bowler could appeal for the dismissal, Zaman already started walking back towards the dressing room.
Mohammad Rizwan scored the most runs for Pakistan. He played 42 balls to score 43 runs that included four boundaries and a six. But in 14.1 over, Hardik Pandya dropped a short ball around off and Rizwan got low, tried to send it towards third man but his awkward position didn’t help in timing well and Avesh Khan ran forward to take a good catch.
Arshdeep bowled the penultimate over and did the rest of the job by sending the last batter to the dressing room helping India bundle out Pakistan on a decent 147.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar wasn’t a part of the ICC T20 World Cup last year when India played against Pakistan but this time, he made a successful comeback and broke Pakistan’s backbone. He grabbed four wickets while Hardik Pandya took care of the middle order by dismissing three batters. Arshdeep Singh scalped two wickets.
