Big E returns to Smackdown; Apollo Crews attacks him
Apollo Crews attacked Big E
WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E returned to Smackdown on the latest episode of the Blue-brand. He had been missing from WWE TV since Apollo Crews attacked him.
Big E came out with crutches and a neck brace. As he made his way to the ring, he threw away the crutches and the brace. Big E was visibly angry and he called out Crews. But when Crews did not come out, Big E issued an open challenge for anyone who wanted a shot at the WWE Intercontinental title.
Sami Zayn accepted the challenge, after some argument with King Corbin. Big E looked like a complete beast in the match, and managed to retain his title. Soon after the match got over, Crews came out and attacked Big E again.
Apollo Crews will face Big E at WWE Fastlane
Before Big E issued the open challenge, Big E promised that he will be taking his revenge. He wont just defeat Crews, Big E will end him. The Intercontinental Champion’s rage was evident in his match against Sami Zayn.
Big E said that Crews had demanded another shot at the Intercontinental title. He has decided to give Crews the match. Soon after Crews attacked him, WWE officially announced the match. Big E and Apollo Crews will face each other at WWE Fastlane for the Intercontinental Championship.
WWE Fastlane airs live on 21st March, 2021.
