‘Big Three of Tennis cant keep winning everything’: Stefanos Tsitsipas

Stefanos Tsitsipas believes that a Grand Slam win for him is just around the corner. He says that he knows that a win like that takes a lot of pain and fight, but he is ready. He also believes that the Big 3 of tennis ,Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, can’t keep winning everything. The new generation of stars including himself are positive and they are ready to start dominating, He thinks that new stars, new Grand Slam winners will be good for the game of tennis as well.
Tsitsipas says “It can’t be that the Big 3 win everything. I know that to win a Grand Slam I will have to go through a lot of pain and fight.” He continued “It’s good for the sport to have a bit of variety, something different. It’s all about having a positive mindset. We (Next Gen) are confident.”
Tsitsipas in the Mexican open
The Mexican Open which is held in Acapulco, Mexico, is an ATP 500 hard court event. The defending champion from last year is Rafael Nadal. This event used to be a clay court one in the past, but was changed to hard courts in 2014. Without the presence of Nadal or any of the top four, Stefanos Tsitsipas is the top seed at the event this year.
Tsitsipas has started well in the event. In the first round he beat Frenchman Benoît Paire 6-3 6-1. In the second round he got the better of big serving American John Isner, 6-3 6-2. In the Quarter Finals Tsitsipas will face the Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime, who is seeded 7th at the event. If Tsitsipas wins this event it will be his first trophy since 2019, and his first Mexican Open trophy ever.
