Several names popped up as Robert Saleh’s replacement after the New York Jets fired him following their 2-3 start to the season. Bill Belichick is one of those names that has been making the rounds on various media outlets.

As for now, the Jets appointed Jeff Ulbrich as their interim head coach, and Todd Downing will call plays in place of Nathaniel Hackett.
The Jets play the Buffalo Bills on Monday night for the top spot in the AFC East. This will be a good test for Ulbrich and Downing. Regardless, Johnson will keep searching for a long-term solution to their head coaching problem, and Belichick is a strong favorite.
