When the football world got a whiff of a 73-year-old Bill Belichick, one of the greatest coaches in NFL history, dating a 24-year-old Jordon Hudson, they could not believe what was transpiring. Eventually, the sporting world accepted the relationship, as the man seemed happy.
That is, until rumors of the former cheerleader’s control over his life started to dominate media debates. The tipping point was when Hudson interfered to stop personal questions during Belichick’s sit-down interview with CBS Sunday Mornings.
Even though Hudson and her boyfriend came out to clarify what happened, CBS doubled down on what was agreed before the interview. This led an investigative journalist, Pablo Torre, to dive deeper into the relationship and how it is impacting those around them.
News of Hudson’s real estate possessions, forcing herself into his commercials, alleged control over how the eight-time Super Bowl champion behaves publicly, etc., flooded news notifications. Most notably, there have been rumors of her involvement in UNC matters.
It was alleged that she asked to be copied on all emails that were sent to Belichick, which proved that she wanted to stay on top of things. Then rumors came out that UNC had banned Hudson from their facilities, which eventually turned out to be untrue. Now the man himself has clarified Hudson’s position with UNC.
Yeah, you know, that’s really off to the side. It’s a personal relationship and she doesn’t have anything to do with UNC football.

ESPN’s Christine Williamson made sure to stop at that and did not try to dive deeper after Belichick cleared Hudson’s link with UNC Football. His short and precise answer might have been enough to clear the air that his girlfriend is not interfering in his job, as many have reported it to be.
Bill Belichick focused on UNC Football
Christine Williamson then moved on to football and particularly how UNC is gearing up for its first season under Bill Belichick. The former New England Patriots head coach happily moved on to football and revealed his plans for the upcoming months.
I’m excited to be back in the coach’s meetings and getting ready for June and then August when we get into training camp. So June will be a big recruiting month for us, and then August we’ll start to get ready for the season.
Bill Belichick said
Belichick was with Williamson at the ACC’s spring meetings in Amelia Island, Florida. This was the perfect break for the UNC head coach to focus on what made him great over the past four decades. But Williamson wanted to know how he was working to communicate in an era where social media dictates a lot.
The HC clarified that he talks to players whenever he gets a chance to meet with them. Be it recruits or the current players, he makes it a point to communicate. Belichick seems to be working through the ways he can make the UNC program a success.
UNC not sure which side of Bill Belichick they are getting
Bill Belichick has reiterated his focus on UNC football. At the same time, Jordon Hudson is a looming presence in his professional life. This has led to some head-scratching moments for UNC officials. One of them spoke anonymously with the Washington Post.

It’s just so odd. And we just don’t know what’s coming. Those two decide what they’re going to do and they do it. But really the football side of Bill and now the public side of Bill have become two different things, and she is in charge of the public side.
Washington Post quoted
As per this anonymous UNC official, they are dealing with two different Bill Belichicks. The football side is fine and is completely under Belichick, the head coach’s control. But his public image is under Jordon Hudson’s control. Now, UNC officials are trying to figure out how to manage this dual personality.
