The University of North Carolina football team’s head coach, Bill Belichick, and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, are facing their critics head-on. They discovered a sneaky method of spinning all the criticism into a successful business venture.
It was widely believed that Belichick had become a relic of the past after failing to land a job in the post-New England Patriots era. Big Bill stayed glued to football by dabbling in punditry before ditching the NFL altogether.
Belichick agreed to coach UNC football and revealed his new girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. The pair became the talk of the town due to the vast age gap.
Trolls and criticism followed, but the pair blocked out the noise. Hudson, in particular, faced a flood of cheesy jokes. The football world viewed her as Belichick’s ‘social stockbroker’ and that she’s using her 73-year-old boyfriend like a ‘puppet.’

Hudson recently decided to fight back. According to Cllct‘s Darren Rovell, Hudson’s company, TCE Rights Management, filed a trademark application for the term ‘gold digger.’ Rovell revealed that Hudson plans to use the trademark to produce a line of jewelry and keychains.
‘Gold Digger’ is the newest addition to Hudson’s list of trademarks that includes ‘Chapel Bill,’ ‘Belestrator,’ ‘Trail of Salty Tears,’ ‘No Days Off,’ and ‘The Belichick Way.’
Bill Belichick is excited for the new college football season
Belichick is one of the winningest coaches in NFL history. He won eight Super Bowls (won 6 rings with the Patriots and 2 with the New York Giants) during a career that spanned over half a century.

His switch to college football was a drastic step that few saw coming. However, Belichick claimed that he wanted to give college ball a try before retiring. Belichick said via The Boston Globe:
I’ve always wanted to be in college football. I grew up in college football. This is a great university; it’s a great opportunity here. The kids are great, they work hard, they want to be good, and they try
He even took a sly dig at his former boss in New England by hinting that he gets to the program the way he pleases at UNC.
There’s no owner, there’s no owner’s son, there’s no cap, everything that goes with the marketing and everything else, which I’m all for.
It’s hard to picture Belichick wearing any other team’s merchandise apart from the Patriots, but he appears to be settling in quite well. However, at one point, he came close to losing the gig after UNC banned Hudson from the campus. The institution later denied that it had banned Hudson.
Belichick and Hudson’s rumored romance first surfaced shortly after his 16-year-long relationship with Linda Holliday ended in 2023. The couple appeared at the 2025 NFL Honors, where rapper Snoop Dogg stated:
I’ve been a football fan for a long, long time. I mean, I remember back when the Cowboys were good, I remember back when the Chiefs was bad. And I remember, what was it, Bill Belichick’s girlfriend wasn’t even born yet.

Regardless of how society views the relationship, Belichick and Hudson are comfortable with each other’s company. There are even rumors that Belichick might even be prepping himself to marry Hudson sometime in the future.
Before that, Belichick must focus on reviving UNC football. They kick off the 2025 season by hosting the TCU Horned Frogs.
