With both the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens ranked at the top of the league, debates have intensified over which quarterback is more capable of actually bringing home a Super Bowl trophy this season: Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson. However, looks like Bill Belichick has already made his pick, though not in those exact words.

Since taking time off from coaching, the 72-year-old has embraced the broadcasting world with his expert knowledge of the gridiron. The six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach recently released his own “All-Belichick Team” with players whose performance he found exemplary this season.

Although he picked both Mahomes and Jackson on his team besides Jared Goff, he didn’t give the three-time Super Bowl champion the offensive captaincy. Instead, he named the Ravens’ star Jackson the offensive captain with a stellar 115.4 passer rating.

“I love the choice of Lamar Jackson. He’s got my vote which counts for something,” claimed Belichick on his COACH podcast, expressing his confidence in Jackson over Mahomes.

The Chiefs might be the favorite to win the Super Bowl with an undefeated record thus far, but quarterback Mahomes hasn’t observed to be in his A-game. Compared to the Ravens’ offensive standing at the top of the league, the Chiefs are ranked 11th with 348 average offensive yards.

Greg Olsen argues Jared Goff deserves MVP honors this season over Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes

While the former legendary head coach advocated for Jackson, Fox Sports analyst Greg Olsen shocked everyone by picking the Detroit Lions’ star quarterback to win the NFL MVP this season. During his recent appearance on The Ryen Russillo Podcast, Olsen put forward Goff’s name as a more deserving candidate to win the MVP honors.

Jared Goff is the MVP. He has been incredible. His efficiency, his production… he’s kind of having a Brock Purdy year of last year, where I don’t know if people give him the credit compared to some of the other maybe flashy guys.

The former NFL tight end even claimed that Goff is playing better than Jackson and Mahomes. With Josh Allen leading the MVP race, Goff has the fourth-best odds at +600 to win the honor which could transform into the favorite if he leads the team to qualify for the Super Bowl this season.

The Lions are currently standing top in the NFC North with a 6-1 record heading for their upcoming game against the divisional rivals, the Green Bay Packers.
