Bill Maher takes shots at Taylor Swift over her loyalty to Travis Kelce while subtly attacking Donald Trump

Political satirist Bill Maher rarely pulls his punches while talking about Donald Trump. Even Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift found themselves entangled in the 69-year-old’s routine on the Real Time with Bill Maher show.
Maher has been having a field day ever since Trump reclaimed the presidency and has been playing with tariffs on Canadian, Mexican, and Ukrainian goods. The USA imposed increased tariffs on consumables, primarily on alcohol.
It created a tariff merry-go-round as the Canadian government retaliated by raising tariffs from their end as well. Maher picked up on the ongoing scuffle between the nations and stated that it only took Trump under a month to complicate ties with neighboring countries.
Donald Trump invited Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, recently to the White House and more or less confirmed that they will slowly back out of giving them support in their fight against Russia.
Maher always has something up his sleeve. Even while discussing a sensitive topic such as Ukraine and Russia’s conflict, he presented a contrast between Trump’s work with Taylor Swift’s love life.

Before meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Swift dated 12 men from 2008 until 2023, as per The Things. The list included names such as Jake Gyllenhaal, Harry Styles, Tom Hiddleston, and Joe Jonas.
Swift and Kelce began dating around May of 2023 before becoming a regular feature during the Chiefs games in the NFL to cheer for her beau. She attended back-to-back Super Bowls. The Chiefs won the first by beating the San Francisco 49ers in 2024, but lost to the Philadelphia Eagles the following year in New Orleans.
Taylor Swift is fearful of romance with Travis Kelce depending on his future endeavors
Kelce recently announced that he has unfinished business to accomplish, so he was not retiring this year and will come back to play for the 2025 season. Swift reportedly played a big part in Kelce’s decision to rejoin the Chiefs.
However, Swift has started to contemplate Kelce’s future and how it will affect their relationship. The 35-year-old made a name for himself off the field, appearing in TV dramas and hosting reality shows, diversifying his career options post-football.
If Travis does retire, it could drastically change his and Taylor’s lives together. He would be around far more—and who knows, she may start to get sick of him… Taylor is really gripped by fear over which way he’s going to jump because it has big ramifications for their relationship, but also, it is totally his call.

Retirement would provide Kelce and Swift with ample time together, but as he has already decided to play for at least another year, they have to adjust their schedules like the previous years.
