The Dallas Mavericks have been performing extremely well this 2023-24 NBA season. They are in the NBA Finals which is currently going on, with the Boston Celtics winning Game 1. The Mavs are owned by world-famous billionaire, Mark Cuban. The franchise consists of star players, past and present like Dirk Nowitzki, Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, etc. Notably, Cuban shared his views on his side’s performance this season.

Cuban claimed that the non-stop brilliance of the Mavs’ star man, Luka Doncic is what stirs up his enthusiasm. He also claimed that he did not appreciate the Mavs’ former legend, Nowitzki back in his days and will not make the same mistake with Doncic. In addition, Cuban and his Mavs side will be focused on getting the NBA championship this year.

Cuban will be hoping that the Mavs get past the Celtics in the NBA Finals 2024. In addition, for $3.5 billion, Cuban sold his majority ownership in the Mavericks, a huge difference from the $285 million he paid for it in 2000.

As per the agreement, he maintains his position as the alternate governor, holding 27 percent ownership in the entity, and he is still responsible for overseeing its daily operations. Given that Cuban is familiar with basketball, that choice has paid off.
