D’Angelo Russell is back in the Brooklyn Nets and so is the No 1 fever. In the recent match-up against the Miami Heat, the athlete showcased skills with 22 points, 6 assists, and 4 three-point field goals. One of the celebratory goals was famously reverted by Nets owner Joe Tsai‘s wife, Clara Wu Tsai. A clip from the Nets vs Heat match has gone viral.
The video is taken from the second quarter of the match where the Nets stood at 40 to the Heat’s 51. Right then, D’Angelo Russell shot a 3-pointer bringing the team to a 43 simultaneously gaining the spectators’ cheer. Clara Wu Tsai joined in with the crowd by mimicking Russell’s iconic ‘ice in his veins’ move. The gesture caught the basketball point guard’s attention, as did the cameras.
The celebration, famously named ‘ice in my veins’ is longstanding in the NBA world with plenty of athletes having adopted it. One of them is the former NBA MVP LeBron James himself. The duo turned it into a handshake and did it after every big shot back when Russell played for the Lakers. While the point guard’s team might have changed, the celebration remains the same.
The fans are making the most of D’Angelo Russell’s return to Brooklyn. The trade was done in exchange for Dorian Finney-Smith and backup guard Shake Milton, who now play for the Los Angeles Lakers. Russell averaged 12.4 points and 4.7 assists this season with the Lakers. Now, he will aim to put in his best work for the Nets.

From a game perspective, he taught the Nets athlete to go out there with a pragmatic mindset and give his best. That came after Russell had faced turbulence in his rookie season. However, as his career has turned out in terms of performance, the ice seems intact to the fans.
