The Buffalo Bills head into the 2024-25 NFL season with a significantly different roster on offense. Following the departure of Stefon Diggs, the team brought in Chase Claypool to prop up the depth chart. However, the team’s most valuable addition was in the second round of the NFL Draft.

The Bills picked Keon Coleman with the 33rd overall pick. Hand picked by Josh Allen himself, Coleman has made a quick and positive impression on the fans and the team. Apart from having a witty and humorous personality, he is regarded as an elite in his position.

I think Keon's worked hard like anything, college playbook, first NFL playbook, big difference, the verbiage, where he's lining up, the side adjustments, all the variances he's gotta do... he's got to be involved in all phases of our offense. I see a guy who is working hard, who is competitive...he's genuine, that's truly who he is and like anything, he's going to have bumps in the road, he's a rookie and I think we all need to understand that.

Beane lauded the rookie’s work ethic and despite him switching over from a playbook at the collegiate level to that of the NFL, the transition has been smooth so far.

Keon Coleman will be the focal point of the Bills offense this season

The team drafted Coleman because he has the potential to be a star and they have begun grooming him like one too. Brandon Beane emphasized the fact that Coleman will have to be familiar with all phases of the offense and actively be involved in it.

During his tenure at Florida State University, Keon Coleman recorded 65 receptions for 848 yards and 8 touchdowns in the 2023-24 season. He walks into a situation where the expectations are high, with Bills fans hoping for him to surpass Stefon Diggs.

At the NFL Draft, Coleman acknowledged the situation he is walking into.

I'm aware of it. The hype can be there all it wants. But I still have to make plays on the field. I want to help contribute to wins, so we got to win to make our fans happy.

He has the right attitude and mindset despite being an easy-going person. It seems Bills Mafia got a good one in Coleman.
