The TGL league of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy is getting closer to its launch date. The indoor league will kick off its first season in January 2025 with 24 players representing 6 teams. One of the players of TGL, Billy Horschel recently visited the TGL and was left stunned by the venue.

The TGL event will take place at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach, Florida. The tournament which eventually scheduled to take place this year. However, damages to their roof meant that the start of this event was delayed by another year.

Horschel, who will be part of the Atlanta Drive Golf Club, took a trip to the venue. The setup of the event seemed to have impressed him.

In a video posted on X by the TGL, the 37-year-old golfer could be seen checking out the arena. During this, he would repeatedly call it “unreal” before laughing off while standing in front of a large screen.

Billy Horschel said

Horschel will team with fellow multi-time PGA Tour winners Lucas Glover, Patrick Cantlay, and Justin Thomas while representing the Atlanta Drive GC team. They will kick off their season against Xander Schauffele‘s New York Golf Club on January 21.

Billy Horschel recently took an indirect swipe at LIV Golf

Billy Horschel is one of them who has been a staunch supporter of the PGA Tour. He has several times been quite vocal about the 54-hole circuit. Recently, he took an indirect swipe at them while playing at the DP World Tour.

Horschel was one of them who took part in the DP World Tour Championship. In a press conference, he would praise the European Tour and call them the “second best” tour in the world after the PGA Tour.

I support this tour. I love this tour… Obviously, the PGA Tour is where I play mostly but I want to make sure that these guys understand how special this tour is, how special I think it is, and then what I think of them as golfers. I think they are really great players out here. I think it’s the second-best tour in the world.

This was though not the first time he had shown his appreciation to the DP World Tour. In October he would take to his X account and express his gratitude to play in the United Kingdom and France.

In the DP World Tour Championship, Horschel went on to finish 47th in the standings. Three bogeys and one double bogey in this final four holes saw him finish the final round 7-over 79 and wrap up the tournament with a score of 9-over 297.
