Blake Snell had a successful first season with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The pitcher picked up his first World Series ring as the LA-based team defeated the Toronto Blue Jays in the Fall Classic. Recently, he dissed Vladimir Guerrero Jr. on his Twitch stream, which left fans on social media in splits.
Guerrero Jr. led the offensive line for the Blue Jays in the postseason. The first baseman shattered franchise records as he smashed 8 home runs in the playoffs this year.
In Game 5, the 26-year-old even got the better of Snell. After Davis Schneider hit a home run on the first pitch of the game, Guerrero Jr. also took the southpaw deep. Two pitches after Schneider’s lead-off bomb, Guerrero Jr. hit a home run off Snell to make it a 2-0 game after just three pitches.
OH MY GOODNESS 🤯

Snell ended up suffering the loss in that game, and the Dodgers fell 3-2 down in the series. In the end, they had the last laugh, though, as they made an iconic comeback in Game 7.
The Dodgers came from 3-0 and 4-2 down in the game and emerged as 5-4 winners after 11 innings. They thus become the first team in 25 years to repeat as World Series Champions.
With the offseason now going on, Snell has been playing games and streaming on his Twitch channel. In a recent stream, a fan would try to remind the Dodgers star of his struggles in the World Series.
This led to Snell dissing Guerrero Jr. and claiming that he is in “Cancun.” The 32-year-old would then urge the people to get over this and let him live his life.
He in Cancun. Go pick him up and then come over this way and tell me that. Don’t clip it… Let me live my life, please! He had a great series.

Snell was one of the high-profile signings of the Dodgers last offseason. After opting out of his 2-year deal with the San Francisco Giants, the pitcher became a free agent once again. Unlike last time out, where he waited for a long time to sign a deal, he quickly penned down a 5-year, $182 million deal with the Dodgers.

This is not the first time Snell has found himself in trouble for his words following the World Series. Following the loss in Game 5, he would express that the Blue Jays got “lucky” early on. Fans ripped him on social media for these words.
Blake Snell clarifies “can’t beat em, join em” comments after World Series win
Blake Snell claimed his first World Series win in 2025 as the Los Angeles Dodgers edged out the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 7. Recently, he clarified some of the comments that had been floating on social media following their win.

In the clubhouse, Snell would wildly celebrate the win with Tyler Glasnow. Snell would recall how the two of them were chasing the ring with the Tampa Bay Rays in 2020 against the Dodgers.
The Rays lost the Fall Classic against the Dodgers in 6 games in the COVID-19 shortened season. Snell and Glasnow were both part of the AL East team back then.
As Snell recalled this, Glasnow would wildly claim that if you cannot beat them, then join them and started laughing.
If you can’t beat em, join em baby.

This caused some uproar among MLB fans. Many of them criticized the two stars for this and slammed them on social media.
In one of his recent streams on Twitch, Snell clarified this comments and expressed that it was not him that said it.
I did not say that. I didn’t say that. Just know that.

Snell and Glasnow will now be hoping to keep their winning run going and help the Dodgers to a historic three-peat in the 2026 season. Only 4 times previously has a team won 3 or more successive World Series titles.
