The Bloodline has undergone a massive transformation since WrestleMania XL. Since Solo Sikoa‘s takeover, he has introduced three new members to the faction. While Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu have been both welcome additions, Tonga Loa‘s antics have prompted fans to perceive him as the ‘weakest link’ of the group. In the latest chapter of Loa’s run in WWE, he sported an eye patch on the latest episode of SmackDown.
The former Bullet Club member was scheduled to compete in the #1 tag team turmoil match alongside his brother. However, Loa hurt his right eye during The Bloodline’s attack on Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens on last week’s show. Therefore, the faction replaced him with Jacob Fatu after conferring with general manager Nick Aldis.
Fatu and Tama emerged victorious, earning an opportunity to bring back the Tag Team Championships to The Bloodline. The pair will square off against #DIY on next week’s episode of SmackDown. On the next night, Sikoa will compete in the biggest match of his career when he takes on Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam
Needless to say, a huge weekend lies in wait for the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief and his faction. After taking over the reins, the former Enforcer challenged Roman Reigns to come and reclaim his position at the head of the table. Hence, a civil war within The Bloodline is inevitable, to say the least.
WWE Universe trolls The Bloodline’s Tonga Loa for sporting eye patch on SmackDown
As expected, fans were hysterical after spotting Tonga Loa wearing the eye patch on SmackDown. Many took to social media to mock the seven-time IWGP Tag Team Champion and his presence in The Bloodline. A user compared Loa’s new look to that of Nick Fury from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Some fans sarcastically mentioned that the 41-year-old looked ‘cooler’ than before. A few others claimed that his weekly antics were on purpose. Moreover, they felt that it was a way to portray him as the comical relief character of The Bloodline.
Another fan pitched for WWE to strap a championship belt to the former NJPW wrestler. All in all, he continues to surprise the fans by either botching his moves or overselling his injuries. Similar to Loa, Solo Sikoa has also been trolled online for his ridiculous suits and for his efforts at trying to replace Roman Reigns in The Bloodline.
