Once again, the Baltimore Ravens’ playoff dreams shattered before their eyes as they saw tight end Mark Andrews dropping the most crucial pass of the game – one that could have advanced them to the conference championship. After failing to outscore the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round, they went home with a disappointing 27-25 loss.
As the game concluded, he found himself under intense scrutiny and criticism, with fans placing much of the blame for the Ravens’ loss on his shoulders. However, the Ravens don’t blame Andrews for the loss despite his disastrous mistake, as head coach John Harbaugh shed light on his contributions in making the Ravens reach this far.

The Ravens made the best attempt to stage a comeback in the game when they were trailing by eight games in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Lamar Jackson connected with tight end Isaiah Likely for a touchdown in the end zone. During a subsequent two-point conversion, he hoped to connect with Andrews in the same momentum to take the lead in the game, however, the tight end couldn’t catch the pass.
Lamar Jackson reflects on Ravens’ Loss while backing Mark Andrews
Head coach Harbaugh isn’t the only one who spoke about the three-time Pro Bowler’s defense, as quarterback Jackson also addressed the media on the subject post-game. He reflected on his own mistakes as the reason the Ravens fell short in yet another playoff, not the star tight end.
The 29-year-old has spent all seven of his years playing professional football in Baltimore, where he earned three Pro Bowl selections. Counted among the best players on the roster, he finished the game with a team-high five receptions for 61 yards.
