The Denver Broncos have gone through one of the roughest phases in franchise history as they horribly handled the situation surrounding Russell Wilson. As the team faces a situation similar to a rebuild, there is finally a ray of hope for the team following the NFL Draft. Sean Payton and the Broncos picked Bo Nix out of Oregon as the team’s quarterback.

While Bo Nix being picked at the number 12 spot was a move welcomed by fans of the Denver Broncos, things got more interesting when the team decided to trade up to get a chance at selecting Troy Franklin, wideout from Oregon in the fourth round of the draft. Nix and Franklin have pre-existing chemistry, an ideal situation for teams drafting players.

The Denver Broncos switched with the Seattle Seahawks to move up to the 102nd pick to get a shot at drafting Franklin. To do so, the former had to trade the 121st, 136th, and 207th picks for the 102nd and the 235th pick.

The Denver Broncos made a great decision by opting to pair Troy Franklin with Bo Nix. It enables Nix to have pre-existing chemistry and some form of familiarity as he heads into a new situation. He heads to the Mile High City with a lot of expectations from him, the pressure is high on the team to get their draft right considering the entire ordeal with Russell Wilson.
