Every wrestling booker has their preferences. Then, be it the names who used to be at the top of the card under Vince McMahon‘s regime or now when Triple H is pulling the strings. Even though the backstage ambience in WWE is at an all-time high with Hunter at the helm, there’s a man who feels that McMahon understood him better. It’s no one but Bobby Lashley.

He made an appearance on The Laboratory Podcast. On the show, Lashley drew a line between his experiences that stemmed from working under Triple H and Vince McMahon. The All Mighty spoke highly of Vince. Underscoring that McMahon always saw him as a big star, Bobby also revealed that the former WWE Chairman used to give his input as well.

Bobby Lashley claimed that the 78-year-old was so high on him that the latter could send him to any part of the country in order to represent WWE as a brand. However, that’s not the case with Triple H. First, Lashley affirmed that he hasn’t had that sort of a connection with The Cerebral Assassin. The 48-year-old alluded to the fact that they haven’t actually gotten a chance to know each other well.

I had a connection with Vince, Vince understood me. Vince was big on the show, he looked at people that were stars and he saw that in me...........I haven’t really had too much connection with Hunter.

That’s what Lashley had to say. In all fairness, he seems to have lifelong ties with McMahon entrenched in compassion. There’s no denying the fact that the ex-Hurt Business CEO captured the WWE Championship twice when Vince was in charge.

However, he was quite visibly catching his shadow earlier this year. Even though Lashley and The Street Profits ousted The Final Testament at WrestleMania XL, it didn’t mean much. Bobby was soon taken off television. He’s now at a juncture where his contract is set to expire this weekend.

Is Bobby Lashley finally leaving WWE after 6 years?

Based on recent developments, Bobby Lashley is seemingly done with WWE. He’s not expected to re-sign with the company. And that begs the question: where’s he headed next? AEW is an obvious option. However, he’s yet to receive an offer from Tony Khan.

As per reports, The Dominator also has major interest from promotions in Japan. Lashley’s former Hurt Business cohort, MVP, is also on his way out of WWE. In fact, he recently appeared at Bloodsport XI.

Vontavious Porter challenged Josh Barnett to a match after basically confirming his WWE contract expiration. There’s also been some relentless speculation among the fans that MVP and Bobby have a chance to re-assemble The Hurt Business outside of WWE, maybe in All Elite Wrestling.
