“He hit a dude hard,” Bobby Lashley reveals people within WWE were trying to get 7’3″ giant fired from the company
Looking back on his second run with WWE, Bobby Lashley revealed a bizarre story that could've wiped a 30-year-old giant out of the company.

One of the most underrated programs that Bobby Lashley was a part of in WWE saw him play a kind of second fiddle to Omos. The latter, who stands at 7’3″, gave the multi-time World Champion a run for his money. The two collided at WrestleMania 38, where Lashley showed grit to tame down The Nigerian Giant. Bobby recently appeared on The Lame Guys podcast.
While speaking on a variety of topics, The All Mighty made a shocking revelation about Omos‘ internal standing in WWE. Lashley claimed that there were a couple of names who Omos had wrestled with, trying to get him fired. The former Hurt Business member didn’t divulge who they were, but they used to yell at Omos just because the latter had allegedly gone hard at them in the ring.
The former ECW Champion also went on to say that Omos was made to look bad to the office so that the higher-ups could find a reason to axe him. Reminiscing about his personal experience with the Nigerian-born wrestler, Lashley said he didn’t turn it down when WWE pitched him to work with Omos.
Bobby said that he embraced The Undertaker‘s mentality in that scenario. But what is that? Taker’s had a history of getting fed with big men during his WWE tenure, and he would use to voluntarily pick them up, quipped Bobby. The Dominator went with the same modus operandi in Omos’ case.
Also, the 48-year-old threw shade at some of today’s wrestlers who don’t like to be put in those shoes. Lashley asserted that one has to overcome obstacles in wrestling. And for him, Omos was that stumbling block he had to combat no matter what.
Bobby Lashley said he was overlooked in Triple H’s regime
Fans have already stressed enough how pointless it was to disband The Hurt Business in 2021. That came from Vince McMahon. The ripple effects of that decision are visible to date. Recently, Bobby Lashley did a virtual signing at K&S WrestleFest.
Lashley vented his frustration for not being able to reassemble the popular four-way faction. Despite the group’s founding member MVP asking WWE CCO Triple H to reunite them under his regime, The Game wasn’t on board with the idea.
In fact, Lashley said they were overlooked once the creative leadership changed hands. The All Mighty didn’t hold back a bit while saying that Triple H and Co weren’t high on him at all. Bobby’s WWE contract expired in August. He’s expected to join MVP and Shelton Benjamin in AEW imminently.
