Shortly after Bianca Belair lost her Raw Women’s Championship to Asuka at Night of Champions 2023, there were rumors of her turning heel. She was allegedly going to side with her husband, Montez Ford, and the Street Profits and maybe even join The Pride. However, these plans never came to fruition, and Bobby Lashley recently revealed why.

Speaking on the Lame Guys podcast, the interviewers told Lashley that they wanted to see him in a heel faction dominating the locker room alongside the Street Profits and Bianca Belair. The 48-year-old smiled upon hearing this and revealed that the EST did not want to turn heel.

Lashley continued saying that Bianca Belair was an inspiration to many people, similar to John Cena. In fact, she had become an icon for little girls all over the world, especially women of color. Thus, it is unlikely that WWE or she herself would want to become a heel. The former WWE Champion continued to shower a lot of praise upon the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.

The original plans were for The Pride to be a heel faction, with or without Belair. However, Lashley always garnered a lot of cheers from the crowd, and the fans refused to boo him. Thus, this drastic change was scrapped, and they stayed as babyfaces. However, now he is out of WWE and may soon be joining MVP in AEW. If they do reform The Hurt Business in the Jacksonville-based promotion, the All Mighty could finally be seen playing a heel character after a very long time.

Bobby Lashley wanted to add racial tension amidst a potential feud with Gunther

Gunther debuted on the main roster in April 2022 and became the Intercontinental Champion within two months. Around this time, Bobby Lashley was running around with the Hurt Business. When the Ring General started picking up steam, the All Mighty wanted his faction to feud with him.

In recent times, the World Heavyweight Champion has become a menace on the microphone and delivers a lot of personal insults to his opponents. However, Lashley had plans for him to do so years ago. During the same interview with the Lame Guys, the 48-year-old said that he wanted the Hurt Business to confront the Austrian and ask him for an Intercontinental Championship title shot.

When Gunther was rolling. There was one thing I wanted to do with him, and everybody would have been like, ‘Ohhhhh.’ If we were still The Hurt Business, I was like, ‘I want to roll up on him, and I want Gunther to say’, ‘People like you don’t deserve a chance at my title’. People would have been like, ‘What did he say?’

This would lead to Gunther responding by saying that people like him did not deserve a shot at his title, alluding to the fact that Lashley and his entire faction were African-American. The former MMA star believed that this would get the Austrian a lot of heat and elevate their potential feud a lot.
